Islamic Religious Education in the Current Discourse

The volume presents the most current empirical research in the field of Islamic religious education. Its findings are an important contribution to the development of theory in Islamic religious education. The contributions address the challenges of Islamic religious education and professionalization research of Islamic religious education teachers and in a plural society. About the editor Senol Yagdi is a research assistant at the Institute for Islamic Theological Studies at the University of Vienna, and he is also an Islamic religious teacher at high schools in Vienna. His areas of expertise include Islamic religious education, conceptual Islamic theology, interreligious hermeneutics, and interreligious education.
