»Democratic Legitimation of Criminal Proceedings« Court reporting fascinates people, arouses emotions and causes consternation. Since 1964, the prohibition of sound and television broadcasts as well as sound and film recordings for the purpose of public presentation, section 169 sentence 2 Court Constitution Act (GVG; Gerichtsverfassungsgesetzt) old, which was recently moderately relaxed with the introduction of the »EMöGG« despite all objections of the opponents of reform. The author addresses to the principle of publicity in general and analyses the EMöGG for its practicability.
