Gesehen werden und sehen

Das Buch Gesehen werden und sehen bietet Elemente einer theologischen Sehschule. Den Leitfaden bildet Psalm 36, 10b „In deinem Licht sehen wir das Licht.“ Theologisches Nachdenken hat sich im 20. Jahrhundert besonders Gottes Wort zugewandt und es auch im Blick auf menschliches Sprachhandeln bedacht. Wenig beachtet wird in der Theologie bis heute das Sehhandeln Gottes und der Menschen. Im Horizont biblischer Texte und Perspektiven erkundet das Buch göttliches und menschliches Sehhandeln und bedenkt es in Bezug auf ausgewählte theologische, philosophische, psychologische und literarische Texte wie auch im Hinblick auf Fotografie und Bild.

Based on psalm 36,10b „In your light we see the light“ the book Gesehen werden und sehen (To See and to be Seen) offers elements of a theological school of seeing. In the 20th century, theological reflection focused particularly on God’s word, considering it also with regard to human speech acts. In contrast, to this day, little attention has been paid to God’s and man’s acts of seeing. Based on biblical texts and perspectives, this volume explores devine and human acts of seeing and considers them in relation to selected theological, philosophical, psychological and literary texts as well as with regard to photography and other images.
