Bowel Ultrasound Compared with Endoscopy

This book provides a unique comparison between gastrointestinal ultrasound (GIUS) and endoscopy for the assessment of intestinal bowel disease (IBD).
GIUS is a valuable non-invasive tool in the management of IBD that has the potential to shift clinical practice paradigm. Currently underused in clinical practice, GIUS complements conventional endoscopy and cross-sectional imaging.One of the key challenges in facilitating the uptake of GIUS in the routine clinical practice has been the lack of an internationally recognized training curriculum.
