»Sexual Offences in International Criminal Law: Sexual and Gender-Based Violence at the International Criminal Court« The study assesses the international criminal prosecution of sexual violence, primarily the crime of rape, sexual slavery, enforced prostitution, forced pregnancy, enforced sterilisation and any other form of sexual violence. In light of the reality of forced marriages taking place in con?ict situations, the author examines whether foced marriage constitutes an independent crime against humanity. In addition, the study examines whether crimes based on the sexual orientation can amount to the crime against humanity of persecution.
