Internationales Jahrbuch der Erwachsenenbildung / International Yearbook of Adult Education 2018

This year's edition of the International Yearbook of Adult Education focuses on adult education research in Canada. The complexity of the field is reflected in both the wide range of topics and the different vantage points of the macro, meso and micro perspectives.

At the macro level, the spotlight is on Canada's role in the conceptual design and implementation of PIAAC, also illuminating various phases of the institutionalisation and de-institutionalisation of literacy in Canadian society. At the meso and micro levels, the authors discuss adult education in Canada from a feminist point of view and explore indigenous perspectives on lifelong learning.
