Bericht über Kirche und Kirchengemeinschaft

Zwischen 2013 und 2017 fand eine Reihe von Konsultationen zwischen Delegierten der Gemeinschaft Evangelischer Kirchen in Europa (GEKE) und des Päpstlichen Rats zur Förderung der Einheit der Christen statt. Das Ergebnis ist dieser Bericht, in dem, ausgehend von der Kirchenkonstitution Lumen Gentium (1964) und dem GEKE-Dokument Die Kirche Jesu Christi (1994), Annäherungen im Verständnis der Kirche (einschließlich ihrer Ämter) und der kirchlichen Einheit festgestellt wurden, die frühere Dialoge noch nicht formulieren konnten. Auf der Grundlage des Berichts haben GEKE und Einheitsrat inzwischen die Aufnahme eines offiziellen Dialogs vereinbart.

[Report on Church and Church Fellowship. Results of a Series of Consultations Commissioned by the Community of Protestant Churches in Europe and the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity]
Between 2013 and 2017 a series of consultations took place between delegates from the Community of Protestant Churches in Europe (CPCE) and the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. The result is this report, which, based on the Church Constitution Lumen Gentium (1964) and the CPCE document The Church of Jesus Christ (1994), notes approaches in the understanding of the church (including its ministries) and church unity which previous dialogues could not yet formulate. On the basis of the report CPCE and the Unity Council have in the meantime agreed to start an official dialogue.
