Religious education in Germany is multifaceted. Ten years after the first edition, this volume once again compiles empirical data on the situation in all countries of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Based on ten impulses, the focus is among others on the latest developments in school policy, the current practice of religious education as well as training and research in religious education. All in all, a multi-faceted picture of change and diversity of religious education in Germany emerges.
Thus, this volume stimulates further research (e.g. comparisons and empirical studies) as well as further improving of practices and didactics. The contributions are usually written by a team of protestant and catholic authors. The editors present a qualified reference book for all those who are concerned with religious education and school policy in the context of studies, training and further education.
