Sacrum Convivium

Im 20. Jahrhundert haben die christlichen Kirchen weltweit viel Aufmerksamkeit in die Erneuerung ihrer Abendmahls- bzw. Eucharistiegebete gesteckt. Die theologischen Grundlagen kamen ebenso auf den Prüfstand wie die Gestaltung der Praxis. Der erste Teilband von „Sacrum Convivium. Die Eucharistiefeier der westlichen Kirchen im 20. und frühen 21. Jahrhundert“ dokumentiert zentrale Texte und Vollzüge. Ausführliche Kommentare führen in die jeweiligen Besonderheiten ein. Nach den bisher in der Reihe „Spicilegium Friburgense“ erschienenen Bänden „Prex Eucharistica“ und „Coena Domini“ setzt „Sacrum Convivium“ die kommentierte Edition der Abendmahls- bzw. Eucharistiegebete fort.

In the 20th century Christian Churches worldwide put a great deal of effort into the renewal of their celebrations of the Lord’s Supper or Eucharist. Both the theological foundations and the shape of the celebration came under scrutiny. The first volume of “Sacrum Convivium. The celebration of the Eucharist in the Churches of the West in the 20th and early 21st centuries” documents the central texts and their performance. Comprehensive commentaries introduce the characteristics of the texts. The two volumes of “Sacrum Convivium” appear in the collection “Spicilegium Friburgenese” and continue the commentated edition of the Lord’s Supper or Eucharist which began with “Prex Eucharistica” and “Coena Domini”.
