About the Recognition and Validity of Divorces under the Unharmonized Rules of Private International and International Civil Procedure Law«: The following thesis analyses foreign consensual private divorces under the unharmonized rules of private international and international civil procedure law. The main questions are if these divorces can be recognized just as foreign judgements under international civil procedure law and if they are valid under private international law even if German law and its § 1564 of the civil code (divorce by judgement) are applicable.
