Abstract

These are satirical stories of crime and criminal justice written by reality. They are entertaining and full of humor, often bizarre, ghoulish, or tragicomic, alle are curious and often amusing, most oft them experienced by the author himself while practicing in the field or working in academia.

One learns about criminal law professors who present their own criminal phantasies in textbooks and criminologists who claim to have found the seat of evil in the brain or the physiognomy of the “born criminal”. Some “criminal bloomers” by students are presented. Justice, mean and severe, laughing and ridiculous, is unmasked. There are criminal machinations oft he „Devil´s advocates“, preposterous misjudgements of supposedly infallible physicians, manipulated trial reports, gun-obsessed policy makers, pilferers, male and female murderers, and brilliant imposters.

One does not need to be a specialist to enjoy these stories and might even gain new insights and food for thought.
