The monograph is devoted to the development of mathematical models and numerical procedures for the simulation of the mixing and heat transfer features of mutually immiscible liquids in the two-fluid turbulent heterogeneous jet flow, as well as in more general cases – turbulent multiphase jets and other flows.
Parameters of the turbulent mixing in the two-phase jet flow are modeled and analyzed. The phenomenon of amplification of a jet’s kinetic energy against the input energy of the first phase from the nozzle was revealed in numerical simulation and discussed. The results obtained may be of interest for some research and industrial tasks, where the calculation of parameters of the multiphase turbulent mixing and heat transfer are important. The presented detailed computer simulations may be easily used in practice when specific experimental data are available to get correspondence with calculations by physical parameters. The presented new method can help to get important characteristics of the multiphase jets, which are impossible by other existing multiphase methods. Finally, some new ideas and developed models are presented and discussed.
