In today’s world of individualism, secularisation, and widespread global conflict we can sometimes feel isolated and vulnerable. We seek an anchor, a path of direction and hope to guide us forward on our life and faith journey. Jesus teaches us that there can be strength in vulnerability and that turning to the crib in prayer can give us renewed hope.

Sacred Space Advent and Christmas brings the core of Ignatian spirituality to our daily lives. The practice of daily prayer can be transformative, giving us space to slow down and allow ourselves to encounter God prayerfully.

For over 25 years the Irish Jesuits have been bringing the transformative practice of daily prayer in the Ignatian tradition to a global audience through the online prayer guide, www.sacredspace.ie. This compact, portable book is the printed version of the hugely-popular website, inspired by the spirituality of St Ignatius.

Each day throughout the Advent season includes a Scripture reading and points of reflection, as well as a weekly topic enhanced by six steps of prayer and reflection – a rewarding way to embrace Advent in a way that is accessible, engaging and meaningful to everyday life.
