Das vorliegende Wörterbuch enthält Begriffe und Wendungen aus allen Bereichen von Recht und Wirtschaft. Die Begriffe werden nach ihrer Herkunft gekennzeichnet, umfangreich erläutert und Besonderheiten des brasilianischen und portugiesischen Rechtssystems aufgezeigt. Infokästchen im Hauptteil des Wörterbuches tragen zum besseren Verständnis bei unterschiedlichen Konzepten der jeweiligen Rechtssprache bei. Im Anhang des Wörterbuches sind Muster, Beispiele und Aufstellungen zur portugiesischen Rechtsterminologie eingefügt. Das Wörterbuch stellt das ideale Arbeitsmittel für alle international arbeitende Juristen, Betriebs- und Volkswirte, die mit Bezug zu portugiesischen Ländern arbeiten sowie Fachübersetzer aus dem Bereich Jura und Wirtschaft dar.
Begründet von em. Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Erik Jayme und Dr. Jobst-Joachim Neuss wurde der Portugiesisch-Deutsche Teil von Dr. Stephanie Müller-Bromley fortgeführt. Der Deutsch-Portugiesische Teil wurde von Maria de Fátima Veiga und Dr. Thomas Richter überarbeitet.

The dictionary is the ideal tool for all internationally active lawyers, economists and business economists whose work relates to Portuguese-speaking countries, as well as specialist translators in the fields of law and finance.
Established by em. Prof. Erik Jayme and Dr Jobst-Joachim Neuss, the Portuguese-German section was continued by Dr Stephanie Müller-Bromley. The German-Portuguese section was revised by Maria de Fátima Veiga and Dr Thomas Richter.
