Architecture, Engineering and Design for Monuments Safeguarding

This book highlights the latest advances, innovations and applications in the field of protection and conservation of monumental heritage, as presented by leading researchers at the International Conference of Architecture, Engineering and Design for Monuments Safeguarding (AID Monuments), held in Perugia, Italy, on May 21–24, 2025. Conference topics include history of architecture; survey and representation of architecture and monumental heritage; modelling and structural consolidation; structural analysis and monitoring; conservation, restoration and reuse of monumental heritage; and interventions for the enhancement of internal and external public spaces at the scale of detail. The contributions, which were selected by means of a rigorous international peer-review process, present a wealth of exciting ideas that open novel research directions and foster multidisciplinary collaboration among different specialists.
