Johann Goethe. Compositions. With illustrations

Goethe worked in different genres: poetry, drama, epic, autobiography, epistolary, etc. Goethe became the main ideologist of the "Storm and Onslaught" movement. Together with Schiller, Herder and Wieland, he formed a trend in German literature called "Weimar classicism". Goethe's novel Wilhelm Meister laid the foundations for the educational novel of the Enlightenment. Goethe's works, especially the tragedy "Faust", are recognized as masterpieces of German and world literature.
