Kulturen des Lehrens

The teaching practices of education institutions are characterised by the respective organisation and by the question of how different staff members understand and develop teaching. With a qualitative reconstruction study, the author will demonstrate that organisations have different teaching cultures, based in the fact that all participants in an organisation - from the management and administrators, to full-time teaching staff and instructors - have a unified idea of how teaching works in their institution. This empirical understanding suggests that the role of the educational institute in didactic theory formation should be taken into stronger consideration. Against this background, the author will develop perspectives for an organisational pedagogical theory of teaching to conclude the postdoctoral thesis.
