The North Sea legal framework for electricity interconnection is used as a template to guide the discourse as to how long- term transnational grid development could be achieved in the Caribbean region.The advantages of implementing a multilateral treaty at the onset of this transboundary project instead of having a collage of bilateral agreements are highlighted.
