Produktbeschreibung
Two corpora from Goethe's late lyric poetry – one of which having been discovered for the first time ever in research – can be read anew in this volume. They prove themselves to be groups of poems characterised by complementary-conflicting strategies: judging by their demand, the Chinese-German seasons and diurnal rhythms are autonomous, closed, ahistorical, homogenous, naturalistic, appealing, materially unbound, symbolic and made for the readers of every age and every culture. The ‘poems on symbolic images’, by contrast, are socially and didactically functionalised, open, history-specific, heterogeneous, artificial, revealing, materially bound, allegorical and expose the value of two concrete individuals.
