Lauren Andres is Professor of Planning and Urban Transformations and Director of Research at the Bartlett School of Planning, University College London, UK. Yasminah Beebeejaun is Professor of Urban Politics and Planning at the Bartlett School of Planning, University College London, UK. Yvonne Rydin is Professor of Planning, Environment and Public Policy at the Bartlett School of Planning, University College London, UK. This book brings new scholarship to students on the origins and development of planning thoughts, theories, policies, institutions and practices, outlining how these have shaped planning as a state and professional activity.
