This edited collection offers an insight into the dynamic of HRM in thirteen developing countries across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Taking readers through the realities of HRM in the global South, the book identifies the significance of contexts, diversity of cultures, and dissimilarity of processes in managing people. In other words, the book addresses general issues of HRM in cross-national settings to give readers an understanding of HR that is comparative and country-specific. Dr. Toyin Ajibade Adisa is a senior lecturer in HRM/OB at UEL. He teaches and researches issues in comparative human resource management, employment relations and reforms in emerging and developing economies. Toyin is a senior fellow of Higher Education Academy, a fellow of Chartered Management Institute (CMI), member of British Academy of Management (BAM) and a member of Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD). Toyin’s primary research interests lie in the broad academic disciplines of human resource management, workplace behaviour, and employee relations. Toyin is also the Co-Editor of Work-Life Interface (Palgrave Macmillan, 2021). Dr Chima Mordi is an Associate Professor and Director for Doctoral programmes at the College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences at Brunel University, UK. His key research examines Human Resource Management and Employment Relations in emerging economies. Chima has authored/co-authored over 100 articles in highly rated academic international journals including Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Managerial Psychology, International Journal of Human Resource Management, European Management Review, Gender, Work and Organisation. Chima is a recipient of several awards including Emerald award for Research Excellence. He is an Academic member of the UK Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
