The challenge of this book is to assemble current knowledge on a particular topic and concepts and principles relating to them, and also to be forward-looking by identifying where there are gaps or inadequacies in knowledge and how future research needs be directed. Lead authors will be encouraged to take such an approach; they can involve any author they consider appropriate. Suggestions are included in the text below, but it remains up to the lead authors to decide who (not) to involve.
