»Legal Aspects of Digital Private Property in Relation to Files an Platform Accounts« The thesis deals with various aspects of digital private property and contributes to the discussion on the effects of digitisation and dematerialisation of assets in private law. In terms of content, it deals with the rights to self-created and acquired files, the contractual relationships of platform contracts and the effects of the Digital Content Directive. This is followed by the topics of digital inheritance, the possibility of reselling »used« files and access to platform accounts by heirs, guardians and authorised representatives. The topics of reselling used files and access to platform accounts will be compared with the US legal situation.
